Speed Computer Up

My computer has just recovered from a virus. Now my internet runs slower than before and videos take forever to buffer. Sometimes they won’t even buffer at all. It was working fine before it was fixed. Did the virus do something? And if so, how can I fix this?

It plays any video really slow, how can I speed this ol’ piece of junk up. I’m thinking of buying a new hard drive….How’s that?
